Curfew imposed in the Lower South Waziristan tomorrow

A curfew has been announced in different areas of Lower South Waziristan for Wednesday. According to a notification issued by the district administration, the curfew will remain in force from 1 p.m. 06:00 to 19.00.

The announcement, signed by Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nasir Khan, stated that section 144 has been introduced in several areas including Tehsil Shakai, Tiarza Gate, Anzarchina, Azizabad Chowk, Tanai, Karb Kot and others.

During the curfew, all movement will be strictly prohibited and all markets, shops and commercial centers will remain closed.

The district administration has warned that anyone who found that violation of the curfew will be subjected to strict trial in accordance with section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Citizens have been asked to pull their vehicles away from the road at least 100 meters away if they see the vehicle of a security forces to prevent any inappropriate event.

The administration has appealed to the public about fully cooperation to maintain law and order and to strictly comply with the directives issued.

It is worth mentioning that earlier on Tuesday was also enforced a curfew on the Angoor Adda road along the border between Pakistan-Afghanistan, which resulted in significant disadvantage to the public.

Meanwhile, members of the public have expressed concern about the curfew, which suggests that schoolchildren, emergency patients and vehicles carrying fruits, vegetables and important goods should be allowed to pass the continuity of emergency services.
