Cyclone Shakti is weakened across the Arabian Sea, the coastal rain forecast

The Pakistani Meteorological Department has said that the serious cyclonic storm Shakti over the west-center and the adjacent northwestern Arabian Sea has weakened to a cyclonic storm in the last six hours.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD )’s latest advice issued on Monday, the system is now centered near latitude 19.6 ° N and longitude 60.4 ° E, approx. 910 kilometers southwest of Karachi. It is expected to move east-southeast across the same region and is further weakened to a depression within the next 24 hours.

Under its influence, isolated light rain is probably in the coastal areas of Sindh and Balochistan Monday (today). The garden conditions are expected to remain high to very rough, with squally wind, reaching speeds of 70 to 90 kilometers per hour along the Sindh coast.

Fishermen have been asked not to venture into the deep sea before October 7 due to dangerous sea conditions. Gale-Force-Vinde near the center of the system can reach 80 to 90 kilometers per hour, and cradle up to 100 km/h before gradually weakening.
