Dakota Johnson became sincere about her “strange” friendship with singer Madonna.
Talking to E! News On Tuesday Fifty Shades of Gray actress revealed that she and Crazy for you Songstress has secretly been friends for years.
“I really love her,” Dakota said. “We’ve been like weird friends for a while.”
“I met her when I was really young because she made a movie with my stepfather [Antonio Banderas]”she added, referring to the pop icon’s film from 1996 Evita.
“Then I got to know her later because we had to work together on something,” the 35-year-old actress continued.
Despite the project never going to perform, she and Madonna have maintained their ties for years.
“We always have kind of circled each other,” said Splitsville star. “She’s like an energy to be nearby that is so beautiful and so crazy. It’s just cool that she even wants to talk to me.”
In July, Dakota and Madonna were discovered that they were attending a mutual friend’s birthday party together.
On the professional front, the Madame Web Actress is currently planning to direct a movie.
“I think I will instruct a feature, a very small, hopefully soon,” Dakota said on the 59th edition of Kviff in the Czech Republic.
