A new era is underway for Dallas Cowboys.

After five seasons, Mike McCarthy will no longer be on the sidelines of AT&T Stadium. Instead, it will be Brian Schottenheimer who got the promotion from offensive coordinator to the head coach.

Obviously, no one is happier with it than Schottenheimer himself, but star width receives Ceedee Lamb is a close second.

“When he was in the building since I was in the league, I feel there is no drop-off,” Lamb said in a recent interview with Pakinomist Digital. “He understands how we work, very familiar with the area and the Jones family, he understands the talent he has around, so just incorporate it and be better every week. Looking forward to it.”

Lamb added that there will be some kind of “adaptation”, but any stress will mostly be at Schottenheimer himself and not necessarily the players in terms of adaptation.

“When they have a new trainer, they have to come in and preach their dominance and be able to control the room. I know it’s a lot of stress on them,” Lamb said.

“They are going to make us understand why we should follow you. I feel like [owner] Jerry [Jones] Did a great job of holding it tight. “

Cowboys QB Dak Prescott expects to be ready for week 1 after hamstring surgery

Schottenheimer’s first season in his new concert comes after a 7-10 season, with Quarterback Dak Prescott left the season midway due to a hamstring injury.

For lamb, considering that cowboys were not really the cowboys, “is it a little easy to throw [last season] in the trash. “

“Very badly came out of it, but it showed the attitude of the team, the commitment and resilience we had so far as to go out there and fight for each other,” Lamb said. “We know what it feels like to be on the opposite side, so it was unfortunate. Hopefully we won’t be hurt because it was terrible. Many of our key guys came out early. For us, I feel like it is where we need to get better, take bodies and durability.”

Maybe the No. 1 goal for the high season is to keep Micah Parsons good because of a contract. Benefits of keeping Parsons speak for themselves, but there is a con: Prescott, Lamb and Parsons, before what is safe to assume will be a major increase for the latter, already make up more than half of the team’s wage state.

However, Parsons is too important, Lamb said.

“It’s definitely a difficult moment and it’s things you think about ‘how can we get as many guys here as possible?'” Lamb admitted. “As for me I am trying to figure it out. I like to win. I got my money now, it’s just realistic to talk. I’m really interested in winning, it’s always been.”
