Danish University to operate independently

Islamabad:

A meeting held on Tuesday to discuss the legal framework for the Danish university concluded that it would be an autonomous institution, independently administered from the government, focusing on research, development and applied science.

The meeting was called to directives from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and became chairman of Law Azam Nazeer Tarar. It participated in the chairman of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and other senior officials.

Discussions included the creation of a Gymnasium to provide quality and internationally recognized education to talented students facing financial difficulties. Participants confirmed the university’s emphasis on research, development and used sciences.

Tarar emphasized that the university would be an autonomous institution that is independently administered from the government, adding that its legal structure would be developed on modern lines to adapt to the standards of the world’s top universities.

“Successful educational models from around the world are reviewed to shape the Danish university into a globally competitive institution. A comprehensive legal framework is being developed to create an ideal academic environment for future students,” an official distribution said.

According to the awards, the Minister of Law declared that all legal and administrative aspects would be carefully considered before completing the framework as soon as possible, ensuring the rapid implementation of this initiative.
