Dar says Pakistan buried India’s false tale of regional dominance

LONDON: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar said Pakistan had buried the false tale propagated by the Indian media and the government about its so -called hegemony and portrayal of India as the “net security provider” in the region.

He turned to a press conference in London after his official visit to the United Kingdom and released live on national television channels, he said Pakistan was accustomed victorious in his recent armed conflict with India, triggered by unprovoked Indian aggression.

“The Indian media and bureaucracy have acknowledged that their narrative turned out to be successful. On the other hand, Pakistan’s narrative was based on facts and truth recognized by the world,” he added.

Dar said that Pakistan, after air superiority, also settled scores with India on Earth.

He said that Pakistan always stood for respect, dignity, sovereignty and territorial integrity in all countries in the region and wanted from others to do the same.

He called Indian leaders’ statements unlucky, he advised them to accept the defeat and move on and emphasized that Pakistan had not asked anyone to mediate a ceasefire; Rather, it was the Indian side that accepted it and was communicated by US Secretary of State Rubio to him in the May conflict.

Dar, flanked by Pakistan High Commission to Britain, Dr. Mohammad Faisal also said the current government was obliged to economic stability and prosperity, and its politics resulted in foreign reserves and inflation rates on a downward trend.

“Pakistan will emerge stronger. Unit will lead us forward if we want Pakistan to get its proper place among the nations committee and to participate in the D-20,” he observed.

He said no one should ask Pakistan to hold conversations about terrorism when they were ‘the greatest victim of terrorism Pakistan had fought for the global war of terrorism, on the forefoot, and sacrificed 90,000 lives besides suffering colossal losses worth $ 192 billion in this war, he said, emphasizing that the world had recognized these victims, Pakistan had huge victims.

He said during the year 2014 that terrorism had been removed from the country during former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s tenure.

About their official visits to different countries, he said their efforts were aimed at projecting Pakistan’s sincere attitude towards various questions, including terrorism.

He believed that the United States had described, because of these efforts,, among others, Majeed Brigade as international terrorist clothing involved in various terrorist incidents, including train hijacking in Balochistan. Dar also advised the Pakistani Diaspora not to indulge in small policies on different national issues.

“After Indian aggression, we adopted a unanimous decision in Parliament that condemns it strongly, which also gave a message to the world of the unity of the nation,” he added.

DAR further emphasized the need for the nation to move unison to take the country on the trail of progress.

To a question, he said it was unfortunate that Pia had earned billions of rupees in revenue when it was grounded and it took years to revive the national flag carrier.

He greeted the EU’s decision to lift the ban on Pia in November 2024 and said the United Kingdom was also following. The PIA authorities were negotiating with the British authorities to resume flights to Manchester in September under a preliminary program that could later be expanded to London.

Dar also called his bilateral and trilateral meetings with the British colleagues and authorities very productive, where all the spectrum of the bilateral ties was discussed, including Kashmir -Distributed and climate change, etc.
