Colorado Buffaloe’s football team and head coach Deion Sanders is in a quarterback conundrum, as Sanders can no longer lean on his son Shedeur this season after Skreateur went to the NFL.
Colorado, 1-2, made the decision per. Several reports to give the starting quarterback job back to Kaidon Salter this week after salts previously lost the job to Ryan Staub. Staub started Colorado’s loss of 36-20 to Houston on Friday and threw two interceptions.
Salter started the first two matches and went 1-1, threw in 261 yards with a touchdown and no interception across these two matches.

The team has also played beginner Quarterback Julian Lewis. After loss to Georgia Tech to start the season, Colorado played all three quarterbacks in a 31-7 win over Delaware.
Sanders leaned depending on his son as his quarterback through Dad’s coaching career.

Shedeur led Colorado under the center each of the last two seasons after Deion took over as head coach in 2023. Before that started spoke to his father in Jackson State from 2021-22.
Before the coached Deion Sanders Shedeur throughout the high school at Trinity Christian School in Cedar Hill, Texas, who served as the offensive coordinator of his son’s entire high school career.
Now they are navigating football without the father-son, coach-player dynamics for the first time.

So far, without shooting like a reliable start -quarterback, Deion has not found its safe starter in Colorado.
And without Deion as a coach, Shede has not been able to crack top-to-two at Cleveland Browns’ quarterback depth card as he is currently third-strings behind Joe Flacco and Dillon Gabriel.
