Deion Sanders is focused on his Quarterback situation with Colorado Buffaloes, but he made a bold prediction about his son Shedeur Sanders’ NFL future with Cleveland Browns.

“Coach Prime” said he thinks his son will start for Browns at some point this season.

Sanders shared his thoughts on Monday on the podcast “New Heights” and told hosts Jason and Travis Kelce that he has “got a feeling when it will go down.”

When asked what advice he has given Skrhedeur waiting for his trip behind Joe Flacco and Dillon Gabriel, Deion said, “Be patient and be ready.” He refused to reveal when he expects Shedeur to start his first start, and Keles did not push him.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski has not given any indication of a quarterback change. Flacco has led Browns to a 1-2 record through three matches, with the offense inconsistent, but the defense among the league’s best.

Shedeur is not even the primary backup at this time. Gabriel, chose two rounds earlier in the 2025 NFL draft, served this role after evaluations of the forth season, Stefanski said.

Deion also revised draft-night drama and confirmed that Shedeur slid to the fifth round before being selected by Cleveland. He said that Baltimore Ravens and Philadelphia Eagles both showed interest.

Cam Newton, the former No. 1 overall election, recently noted Eagles’ persecution of whatur. As for Ravens, Deion confirmed essentially reports that his son told Vice President Ozzie Newsome that he was not interested in sitting behind Lamar Jackson in the long term.

“How in the world can anyone owe [Shedeur] To say or think, ‘why in the world would I go back up Lamar for 10 years to?’ “Said Deion on the podcast. ‘I’ve never been sitting on the bench and said,’ Well, I learned a lot today. ‘”

Browns drafted Shedeur with the expectation of developing him for the future, with Flacco seen as a stop gap until one of their rookies is ready. So far, the coaching staff thinks Gabriel is ahead, but the season is still young.

For the time being, Shedeur stays third on the depth card, though Deion remains convinced that his son will eventually have his chance. Whether it will come to see this season.
