Deion Sanders’ third season as head coach of Colorado Buffaloes Football comes with a new guideline that any player must follow.
“Coach Prime” has set a clothing code for the classroom for its players, and it doesn’t just refer to time working in the meeting rooms. These are the actual classrooms for the players’ studies.
Sanders has established the rule that slides, hoodies and headphones are banned in the classroom. But that’s not all.

Colorado football players must also not sit in the back row of classes. And if the class is online, shirts should be worn and there is no “walk around” while it is logged in to virtual lectures.

“If I see you in slides on campus, we will have a problem,” Sanders said in a video sent by his son, Deion Sanders Jr. “If I see you with a hoodie in class, with headphones in class, it will be a problem. If I see you sitting in the back of the classroom, it will be a problem.”
Sanders has long been one to preach how he molds young men’s lives on and off the field, and accountability is still a key pill in this plan as a head coach.
Some college -football fans asked Sanders about the Hoodie commentary considering he was wearing one. But others interpreted him to mean carrying the cap on the player’s heads during the class instead of letting it hang on his back.
Others enjoy Sanders who set the precedence.

“Deion is not just to shape these players to be better football players,” wrote an X user. “He is molded to be better men. Slides, hoodie w/ headphones just signal laziness. It signalizes that I am only here for football and go through the movements during the class. Get ready on the field and life.”
Another user added: “The best coaches expect expertise in all aspects of life. Great coaches are a gift. Grateful to those I had.”
With this new clothing set, Sanders hopes that discipline can eventually lead to some on the field. The Buffalos hope to improve their 9-4 record from 2024, although Heisman-winner Travis Hunter and Sanders’ son, Quarterback Shhedeur Sanders, are both in the NFL.
