Deion Sanders calls BS about reports of his son in his meetings with NFL teams ahead of the draft.
In the days that led to the draft, it was reported that sheds Sanders flopped at meetings, with an execution that said it was the “worst” and that he was “justified.”
Other reports circulated that he was unprepared and nonchalant in the interviews – and it turned into an unprecedented slide, which saw a possible top -Tre player falls all the way to the fifth round.

Coach Prime said he felt the negative rumors were coming because people “were afraid I would go to the NFL” from Colorado.
“They want to create these stories and create these stories and then associate them with a child who has never done anything wrong,” Sanders said at Asante Samuel’s “Say What Need to Say” Podcast. “Stop lying. You need to understand – my kids are built for everything … We’ve always been in front of the camera so they know how to navigate, they know how to handle themselves, you won’t catch them in nothing fooled or no mess.

“When you sit up there and say something like he went into a meeting unprepared, like Dude. Shedeur Sanders? Who Has Had Six Different [offensive] Coordinators who have still worked and smoothed every time we brought someone new in and you want to tell me he was unprepared? Will you tell me he had on headphones? Anyone who knows my son understands that he is a professional. Will he go into a meeting with headphones on? You’re coming now. “
“It hurt,” Sanders continued. “But the Bible says God is using the foolish things to confuse the wise. There were some foolish things that went on but it gave them something they needed. Like the edge that Tom [Brady] Had it gave them the edge you had, it gave them the edge I have. People said we would be nothing. But we had to prove it. It gave them the edge they needed. Both of them. “
Coach Prime offered a similar mood late last month when he shouted “false rumors.”
“Let’s stop lying today, tomorrow and the next day. Stop shopping fake rumors or stories that do not involve 1 witness who will stand by the story they told privately for it to circulate in public,” Sanders wrote on X.

Eventually, Cleveland chose Browns Sanders, but not before they chose Dillon Gabriel in the third round. Rookies make up 40% of the quarterback room, which also includes Deshaun Watson, Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett.
