Deion Sanders expressed hope for his son, Shilo, to find an NFL team after Tampa Bay Buccaneers waived him in front of that deadline for the cut on Tuesday.

“He is my son, I am proud of my children, all. And I prepared my children for all that could possibly happen in life and in sports,” he said via ESPN. “It’s part of Father, it’s part of custody, it’s part of having a relationship.
“So he is mentally where he needs, physically, where he needs to be. We pray that he will have another opportunity to go with a team, but if he does not, the plans have already been made to what he will do next.”

Deion Sanders added that he was sure Shilo would be OK one way or the other.
“Shilo is a man with many talents,” he said. “I don’t know if you know – he is a man with many talents and he will be equal. All Sanders will be equal with or without football. You have to believe it. You have to believe that I take care of mine and I have always had it and you know what I mean. You think it better.”
