The natives of New York Denzel Washington, one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, said he’s been a keen supporter of Dalla’s cowboys for decades.
But the winner of twice the Oscar Academy Award expressed his frustration over the current state of his beloved NFL franchise. Washington appeared on guest performance on ESPN’s “First Take” program on Tuesday to support his upcoming film “Highest 2 Lowest.”
While much of his conversation with host Stephen A. Smith was centered on the film, Washington took a moment to call the long-standing cowboys owner Jerry Jones as the franchise’s Super Bowl driver approaches the three-year-old.

Washington suggested that Jones, who handled the Parsons situation, ultimately a bear service for the team’s fans.
“I don’t like what (Jones) does … I respect the owner, but I don’t like what it does with the fans,” Washington said. “He doesn’t think of us, the fans. He thinks of the pockets. It’s like … There is a ticket office and there are Oscars. And you haven’t been (Oscars) in a moment. At the end of the day I will still wear my hat with the star on it.”

Washington also said he’s been a cowboys fan “Since the 1960s.” The 70-year-old actor has also long supported Los Angeles Lakers.
Parsons missed four games last season, but still ended the year with 12 sacks. He has recorded double -digit bags in each of his four seasons in the NFL.
Last week, Jones admitted that he was not entirely confident that Parsons would be in a cowboys uniform for the team’s seasonal opener against Philadelphia Eagles.
“No, definitely not,” Jones said last Tuesday. “A big part of that is his decision. How would I know?”
Cowboys have won three Super Bowl titles since Jones became the control owner of the franchise. However, the team has not reached the championship since the 1995 season.
