- Full camera specifications for the Google Pixel 10 series is reportedly leaked
- They point out that a telephoto camera is added to pixel 10 but its other sensors are downgraded
- The rest of the Pixel 10 line may not be in too many camera changes
Google’s pixel phones usually stand out by photography, but based on the latest leakage, this may not be the case with Pixel 10, as Google apparently acts quality of quantity when it comes to this phone’s sensors.
Android Authority claims to have seen documents shared by a source inside Google that detailed the complete camera specifications in the Pixel 10 series.
It is said that the biggest changes come to the standard Google Pixel 10, which can get a third lens. This would apparently be the same 10.8MP sensor that you find on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold – so as that phone it will probably offer 5x optical zoom, but it is not mentioned here.
Presumably to keep cost down, however, these documents suggest that Google will replace Pixel 9’s main and ultrabrow sensors with less for Pixel 10. Specifically, the Pixel 10 will apparently have the same 48MP wide and 13MP ultra-covering sensors like Pixel 9A together with the same selfie camera as Pixel 9.
Note that this report shows the most important sensor as 50MP rather than 48MP, but it is said to be the same Samsung GN8 sensor used by 48MP Pixel 9A, so we assume it will also be marketed as 48MP here.
No Change for Pro and Small Difference for the Fold
In any case, there are minor changes to the other models, with the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL is said to have exactly the same cameras as their predecessors, which means a 50MP head sensor, a 48MP ultra-covering and a 48MP telelder (presumably offers 5x optical zoom).
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is also detailed in this leak, but the only camera change here is apparently a small upgrade from Sony IMX787 (also used by Pixel 8A) for Samsung GN8 (also used by Pixel 9A).
That would mean a 50MP head sensor, along with the same 10.5MP ultra boundary, 10.8MP tele (probably with 5x optical zoom) and par 10MP selfie cameras as Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
Of course, we would take all these claims with a pinch of salt, but we will probably find out what cameras pixel 10 phones have in August, as it is probably when they are launched.
