- Three out of four developers see AI integration as a pain point when building apps
- Genai and Agentic AI release more time for creative tasks
- It is also democratizing app development to new skills
Integration of AI into applications as a significant or moderate pain point.
However, the strong momentum for AI continues, where CEOs are particularly interested in agent AI and many companies that are still investigating their generative AI strategies.
According to Gartner Research, AI Application Development Platforms Market could be worth $ 5.2 billion – a number that is only expected to rise.
Engineers are tired of integrating AI into apps
Gartner VP analyst Jim Scheibmeir said, “Even with business leaders who focus more on this technology, and despite the growing hype, the execution is not easy.”
On the flip side, artificial intelligence begins to become more useful in the application development process, where AI agents allow developers to focus on complex and creative elements instead of having to handle repeated workloads.
AI is also democratizing app development that gardener sees as a positive thing. Traditionally, the industry has been dominated by those who are skilled at the Vote fields, but team members focusing on design, psychology and art can offer new perspectives and approaches.
By 2028, 40% of the software team members could come from “non -traditional software technique or technical background” or doubling the number we see today, and that is thanks to progress in generative AI.
However, AI is best seen as a human help and not a replacement, so it is important to hire for strong basic skills such as logic building and algorithm development.
“The future will be dominated by composible or fusion product team, consisting of software engineers, UX designers, product conductors and even data scientists coming from both technical and non -technical education backgrounds,” added gardener Principal Analyst Nitish Tyagi.
