Devon Walker says goodbye to ‘poisonous as hell’ show ‘snl’

Devon Walker ends ‘SNL’ after three season

Devon Walker left his fans in shock Monday after announcing his departure from Saturday Night Live.

The 34-year-old comedian shared the surprising news on August 25 via social media. In Instagram post, Devon reflected on his journey on the NBC Sketch Comedy Show and admitted that “Sometimes it was toxic like hell.”

“For me, jobs in this industry feel like a bunch of little marriages,” he began the long note. “Some of them last for a long time if we are lucky, but most of them are fleeting. Permanent until they are not. That’s the deal. You know what it is when you sign up.”

He has also written, “Me and the show did three years together, and sometimes it was really cool. Sometimes it was toxic like hell. But we did what we made most of what it was, even in the midst of all the dysfunction. We made off – looked Lil family.”

“More than anything else, I’m just really glad I got it with Gary and Alex. N —– Really went from running a bar show to working together on 30 rock! It’s a beautiful thing. I also look in that picture and I feel like it’s important for people to know what I continued,” Devon continued.

The end of the note added the native Texas, “At least I’m traveling to Japan. When I come back, I’m trying in a prestige drama. Ideally something with Julianne Moore. Hope you get hydrated and get some money today.”

For those who are not daring, Devon first joined SNL as a highlighted player in 2022. Later, the comedian was promoted to the main crew.
