Following Pahaldam attacks that killed 26 tourists in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), Bollywood film Abir Gulaal starring the lead role of Vaani Kapoor and Pakistani star Fawad Khan facing serious setbacks, which are related to relaxing the tensions between the core arms.

After the attack, all positions related to the film have been removed from Kapoor’s Instagram account including posters, teasers and photos with the Pakistani star.

Per. Ndtv Report, Vaani Kapoor did not even delete the items, but the film’s production team did. The content was originally shared as Instagram collaboration, therefore deleting the production team automatically removed posts from her profile.

Abir Gulaal was to release on May 9th. It was a romantic drama directed by Aartis Bagdi and produced by Vivek Agrawal. However, the Indian government reportedly refused permission for release after the Pahagam attack as the film included Pakistani star Fawad Khan.

In addition, Abir Gulaal stood before the Pahaldam attacks against resistance from right-wing political fractions in India.

Maharashtra Nameirman Sena (MNS) opposed the film’s release in Maharashtra. MNS spokesman Ameya Khopkar said his party would not allow the film to be shown in the state because of the commitment of a Pakistani actor.

In addition, Fawad Khan, like many other Pakistani actors, condemned attacked.

In a submitted Instagram story, he wrote: “Deeply sad to hear the news of the abominable attack in Pahagam. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this horrible incident, and we ask for strength and healing for their families during this difficult time.”
