Cleveland Browns surprised everyone as they ejected Oregon’s Dillon Gabriel with their third round pick, while the shedur Sanders continued to fall down the NFL draft.

Perhaps an even bigger surprise was when Sanders was taken by the franchise two rounds later, creating a packed quarterback room with Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett, who also fought for the starting job.

With Sanders, who has collected the national light, Gabriel has been in his new teammate’s shadow in terms of coverage.

But the Heisman Trophy finalist gave the perfect answer to Rookie MiniCamp the perfect answer to Rookie MiniCamp when asked what it feels like to have Sanders as a teammate.

“I love it,” Gabriel replied on Saturday. “You know I love it because of who it is. I just think for both of us, you can learn from each other. But too, it’s not only the two of us in the room. At least for now [during rookie minicamp] It is but you know to go into the year, kenny, joe and even deshaun [Watson]Just a bunch of guys who played a lot of ball that we can all learn from each other. “

Watson does not expect to be in the course of playing on all this season after reinstating Hans Achilles during rehabilitation last season.

Gabriel was asked about NFL fans already comparing his reps at Rookie MiniCamp with Sanders’ and another proper team-first response was the result.

“I think the more questions I am asked like that, it just shares the team,” he said. “For me we are in a room full of not only us – Kenny, Joe and Deshaun. For us we know how important a healthy QB room is. But also a team that you want to be a part of.

“How do you create an environment every single day where everyone can be their best? It’s just pushing each other, which talent naturally does. Of course it’s healthy. For us we all go and everyone wins.”

Like the Sanders, the Quarterback competition, which is definitely a top NFL story this forth season, knows Gabriel that he will have to be at his best if he wants to get the start job for week 1.

“I only know one way of preparing,” Gabriel said. “I only know one way of working and it’s like starting. You know I’ve played a lot of ball and have a lot of experience, so I will use it to my advantage.”

Currently, it is probably Flacco’s job to lose heading into training camp considering his story of head coach Kevin Stefanski’s violation. Only two seasons ago, Flacco literally got out of the couch and ran Stefanski’s violation into the playoffs, a miraculous achievement that won him this year’s comeback player. Stefanski was awarded the coach of the year.

But the comparisons and the criticism between Gabriel and Sanders only seem natural at this time because of how connected they are after this year’s draft.
