- DJI Mini 5 Pro has apparently hit FCC
- We also have a video that allegedly shows DJI Avata 3
- DJI NEO 2 has also been mentioned in a leak
DJI is, of course, well established as making many of the best drones you can currently buy, with DJI Mavic 4 Pro the latest that was introduced earlier this month. Now new leaks suggest that three more models are on the way very soon.
First up is the DJI Mini 5 Pro, the successor to the DJI Mini 4 Pro, launched in September 2023. As stained by @maurotandoi and Notesbookcheck, this new drone has been registered in the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the US – a required step for any electronics gadget that comes to sale there.
It seems that the under-250 gram device comes with a larger battery than the model it replaces, while also offering faster charging speeds. Otherwise, this filing doesn’t tell us much about the upgrades that are coming.
There has been speculation that the DJI Mini 5 Pro would appear sometime in September-maybe next to a follow-up of DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro-Men FCC registration suggests the launch actually comes before.

Next, well -known Tipster @quadro_News (again via notebookcheck) sent a video of what seems to be DJI Avata 3 tested. This would replace DJI Avata 2 launched back in April 2024.
We expect to see a larger camera sensor on the upgraded version of this drone, and the video also suggests a revised propeller design. However, we do not get recordings of the device actually up in the air.
Eventually for now, there is also a mention of DJI Neo 2 replacing the original DJI Neo, which was introduced in September 2024. This is mentioned by Tipster @ositalv along with Avata 3 and Mini 5 Pro – so there is a lot to look forward to.
We don’t have much to go when it comes to launch dates for DJI Avata 3 and DJI NEO 2, even though the drones they succeed are not as old as the DJI Mini 4 Pro. It suggests that these other two models may emerge later in the year.
