The DNA profiling report has confirmed that the human remains recovered from the Edhi cemetery belongs to Mustafa Amir, a BBA student who disappeared in January and allegedly murdered, Express News reported.
The charred remains were originally found inside a car near Hub Checkpost on January 12 and was buried by the Edhi Foundation on January 16. On Friday, a three-member medical board appointed the body under the supervision of a judicial magistrate.
Following the confirmation of the body’s identity, the remains were handed over to the family who announced that the funeral would take place after ASR prayers today (Sunday) at Masjid-E-Ali, Main Khayaban-E-Muhafiz, Phase VI, DHA.
The body was stored at Edhi Morgue before being handed over to the family.
