Collestering doctors at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital on Friday gave KMC a three-day ultimatum to release their quota or meet a sit-in outside the building.
The doctors have objected to non -payment of wages to the house’s officers and postgraduate trainees since Friday. On the second day of their protest, dozens of house officers and postgraduates Boikotted Om.
Postgraduates had not been paid in the last month, while house officers had gone without wages for three months. The Young Doctors Association (Yda) President said newly appointed house officers on the hospital’s face delays of up to six months each year in receiving their salaries.
