Tensions between Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres reached a boiling point below the top of the ninth lap of Padres’ 5-3 victory at Dodger Stadium on Thursday.
Padres star Fernando Tatis Jr. struck with one out in the ninth round with Padres up 5-0.
Dodgers’ relief pitcher Jack threw Little a 93 MPH Fastball who ran into Tatis and hit him in his hand. It was the third time Dodgers’ pitchers have hit Tatis in seven games this season.

Padres ‘manager Mike Shild was annoying that Tatis had been drilled again, and stormed out of his dugout and began shouting at Dodgers’ bench.
When Shilde came marshing across the field, Dodgers’ manager Dave Roberts drove out of his dugout, and the two leaders were face to face for a moment before being pulled away from each other. Both teams Bullpens and Dugouts are emptied to join Fracas.
Eventually, order was restored and both teams returned to their respective dugouts, but Shild and Roberts were both pushed out of the game. Despite the fact that both leaders had been thrown, the fireworks were not over yet.
At the bottom of the ninth lap, Pades was up 5-2 with two outs and a man on the third base with Shohei Ohtani up to beat.
Padre’s reliever Robert Suarez fell behind 3-0 in the counting to Ohtani and at the next pitch prayed Suarez Ohtani with a 100 mph fastball in his right shoulder.

The Japanese superstar waved his dugout from storming the field as he walked down the first baseline to take his base. Suarez was thrown out to radiate Ohtani with the field.
It was the second time Ohtani was hit by a pitch in the series, both times half came about after Dodgers hit Tatis with a pitch.
It was also the sixth time Tatis had been hit by dodgers in his career, most of any club.
Padres eventually won 5-3, but their concern lies with the results of Tatis’ X-ray and CT scan.
“(Dodgers) should ask for (results) to come back negative tomorrow,” said Padre’s third Baseman Manny Machado. “They should too. Us, but they should definitely.”

Shild said if Dodgers had hit Tatis on purpose or not doesn’t matter.
“Whether it was (intentional) or it wasn’t, is enough,” Shild said. “We got a guy who gets x -rays right now is one of the best players in the game. Fortunately, he’s on our team and this guy has taken shots, ok?”
Roberts said it bothered him that Shild had come out and began to shout at him after hit-by-pitch.
“I didn’t feel good with Tatis – great player, good guy – to be hit,” Roberts said. “I didn’t feel good about it. And then that (shild) comes out and he yells at me and stares me down that bothered me. Because, to be perfectly honest, it’s the last thing I wanted.”
Roberts also praised Ohtani for rejecting the situation after he was drilled.

“Well, I think he knew it was intentional,” Roberts said. “He wasn’t injured by it and he didn’t want more drama as I respect it a lot.”
Dodgers took three of the four matches in the series and have taken five of the seven games that the two teams have played so far this season.
The next time the two NL West rivals are facing again, is 15-17. August in Los Angeles and 22-24. August in San Diego.
