Dolly Parton has opened up his Broadway -Musical Debut.
Talking with People Magazinethe country’s superstar talked about the process of putting together Dolly: An official musical.
Parton said, “I have a lot of mixed feelings about it all. It was very emotional, you know, just to see it all.”
“When it started, I would cry some, and then I would laugh some and I think,” oh, my lord, why did I do it? “Or just, ‘how did I ever have time to do all that?’ So you have a lot of mixed feelings and have thoughts about all parts of it, ”the icon added.
Dolly Parton’s debut musical Dolly: an official musical is ready to premiere at Broadway in New York City in 2026.
In addition, Parton also revealed that the show has been in the works for years, which revealed that she has been waiting at the right time to tell the story of her life.
Parton said, “I wrote a lot of the original songs beyond the fact that we use the hit songs that people know, told the stories and the timeline, and when they are busy.”
“But in fact, I’ve been working on it for years, and it feels good to finally have it almost here,” she added.
She continued to explain about the musical, “It has a lot of good country music in it, many good land stories, but it also has a lot of the great orchestration, all the things I have always dreamed of having my songs and stories on stage and telling my life story. I waited a while for me to be this old, so I could tell the truth, all the true – So help me, Lord! “
“That’s why it’s so hard to put a show together, you can’t just tell it as it is and how it happened at the time. You have to weave it around, make sure to get the story right, but everything works for the sets and all the changes of clothes. I never knew that so many things were involved in putting a Broadway show together.
