Don Nelson, former Dallas Maverick’s head coach, accepted Chuck Daily Lifetime Achievement Award before Game 2 in NBA Finals on Sunday.
Nelson, who has lived in Hawaii since he was away from the game, had a message with him about the franchise he used to lead on the field.
During his press conference, Nelson made sure everyone in the building knew he was wearing Luka Doncic’s new shoes from Nike.

Why? He believes that Mavericks and GM Nico Harrison made a “huge mistake” that traded him to Los Angeles Lakers.
“I want everyone to know that I have Luke’s shoes, his new shoes from Nike … and I have them in protest against the trade from Dallas,” Nelson told the audience. “I think it was a huge mistake from the Dallas franchise to trade him. I want everyone to know that.”
Nelson is part of a mass group that believes Harrison made the wrong step in trading Doncic to Los Angeles, which was one of the most shocking trades in recent memory everywhere in professional sports.

Maverick’s fans also let Harrison know it when song -filled stadiums home and away, while a group of fans even held a false burial outside the American Airlines Center days after the deal fell in February.
However, Dallas may have been rescued after the NBA draft Lottery saw them win # 1 overall election. Mavericks will probably take Duke’s Cooper Flagg later this month.

Still, Maverick’s fans were not happy to see Doncic, who helped lead the team to the NBA final last year and moved out west.
While Lakers did not make a deep NBA final game, Doncic had similar numbers with lakers compared to mavericks. He average 28.2 points per Match (28.1 in Dallas) with 8.1 rebounds and 7.5 assists per Fight over 28 competitions.
