Donald Glover recently praised his 8-year-old son’s singing skills while recalling the moment he realized Legend was a “performer” at heart.
During a conversation with Wall Street Journal, the 40-year-old actor shared his thoughts on his children’s entry into the music industry.
Speaking about the moment during the Legends football game when he discovered his son was born to be in the spotlight, Donald said: “In the middle of bringing it down the field, he grabbed his chest and fell to the ground and let as if he were dying.”
“I remember thinking, ‘Oh, he’s a performer’. He’s not going to be Messi. He’s an artist at some level, he values experience,” he continued.
Despite this is Mr. and mrs. Smith the actor does not want his children to join the music industry.
“In a perfect world, I wouldn’t want my children in the business,” Anders said. “I don’t love the business, it does something to people… So it was tough, but he’s really good and I was super proud of him.”
“I wanted to share that joy with people – which is scary, because generally when a large group of people see something beautiful, they want to destroy it,” he added.
For those unaware, Donald is the father of three children – Legend, Drake and Donald Glover III.
