- LG launches new XBOOM BUDS PLUS AND XBOOM BUDS LITE
- ANC, long battery life and useful plug & wireless feature in the plus version
- Pricing TBC; Current XBOOM CHRAMPS IS $ 99 / £ 119 (approx. AU $ 240)
LG has announced two new versions of its Xboom Buds, its collaboration with Will.i.am. The new models include a new Premium Plus version that includes LG’s excellent plug & wireless feature, something we have had in other LG ear plugs.
The Plug & Wireless feature transforms the charging case into a bluetooth transmitter to the buds when the case is connected to the cable audio sources, allowing you to go wireless with audio equipment, gymnastics equipment and other old-school audio sources. It also has auracast for multi -devices transmission.
Knopp’s plus and knobs Lite both light graphs and versions of LG’s ANC. The knobs plus deliver up to 10 hours of playback and 30 with the charging case for plus; Lite can go for 11.5 hours and 35 hours respectively. Both versions have Bluetooth 5.4 with multi -point and fast pair.
Knopp’s Lite seems to have a decent, if not – notable spec – depending on the price that has not yet been revealed – but it is the knobs plus that I think are the more interesting earplugs.
LG XBOOM BUDS PLUS
The Plug & Wireless feature in the buds plus especially caught our attention in LG Tone Free T90s that we really liked. And the knobs plus also get UV-Disinfecting charging case promising to kill 99.9% of the bacteria from your buds.
Plus has an adaptive EQ system that continuously optimizes the sound and a triple-mic ANC system. And the charging case can be topped wirelessly for extra convenience.
As the name suggests, the buds Lite is a smaller premium option. They also have graphic drivers, but the ANC is what LG calls “mild ANC” and instead of adaptive EQ there are four adjustable EQ advances.
Prices for the new buds have not been announced yet, even if they go on sale later this month (September 2025), but Bud Plus is designed to sit over $ 99 / £ 119 Xboom buds and the buds Lite sit under them.
Xboom Buds Plus and Xboom Buds Lite start rolling out all over the world later this month.
