- Doom: The Dark Ages is a prequel but won’t finish the way 2016’s Doom Reboot begins with Slayer in the coffin
- Waste Director Hugo Martin says this would not allow the team to tell more stories
- Martin also said the team is working on DLC so the game can’t end with Slayer in a chest
Doom: The Dark Ages Maybe be a prequel but develops -id -s software confirms that it won’t end, like 2016’s Doom begins.
If you haven’t played DoomThe game begins with slayer locked inside a chest until he breaks free. Since Doom: The Dark Ages Is a prequel to this story, some players have begun to form ideas about how the upcoming game will end.
According to waste director Hugo Martin, this will not happen as it would mean that the team would not be able to tell more medieval stories.
“I mean it would end the dark ages, the medieval chapter in Doom Saga. This is like The Chronicles of the Slayer, “Martin told PC Gamer.
“So if we took it all the way to that point, it would mean we couldn’t tell more medieval stories. And I don’t advertise projects or just to say it’s better to leave it open.”
Martin continued to reveal that ID -Software has downloaded content (DLC) scheduled to Doom: The Dark Ageswhich would also go against the idea that Slayer ends up in a coffin at the end of the game.
“We have a DLC and similar things, so it won’t – I don’t give away spoil – but it doesn’t end with him [in the coffin]“added the wastage director.
“The story is that they collapsed a building on top of him and then put him inside the sarcophagus that we find him II early 2016. And this game doesn’t end that way.”
Doom: The Dark Ages Start on May 15 for PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC as well as Xbox Game Pass on day one.
