Both sides reviewed the implementation of key decisions made during this journey and repeated their common commitment to strengthen mutual trust and cooperation.

Last month, Pakistan and Afghanistan agreed to secure the worthy and orderly repatriation of undocumented Afghan citizens, in the midst of tensions over Islamabad’s deportation campaign.

Dar’s first trip to Afghanistan since he assumed the office focused on rejecting friction and restarting stopped the cooperation on security and regional connection.

During his meetings with acting Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi, DAR emphasized the need to control cross -border security, fight militant conditions and strengthen bilateral trade.

The ministers agreed to end a joint committee for the Ministry of Intelligence and the Ministry of the Interior to tackle terrorism and border management management.

The two sides also reached consensus on improving regional economic relations through initiatives such as CASA-1000 Power Project and The Transnational Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan Railway.
