DPM DAR urges India to give Kashmiri’s right to self -determination

Islamabad:

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Tuesday confirmed Pakistan’s long -standing attitude that India should give the population of Kashmir their right to self -determination in accordance with the United Nations decisions.

Ishaq Dar approached the participants of a demonstration held in Islamabad to mark YouM-E-Sestehsal-E-Kashmir (Kashmir Disposition Day).

“We will continue to expand diplomatic, political and moral support to the Kashmiri people until their inalienable right to self-determination is realized.”

The rally started from the Foreign Office and culminated at D-CHOWK with the participation of federal ministers, politicians, Hurriyat leaders, students and citizens from different walks of life.

He emphasized that India must “revoke all illegal acts taken on August 5, 2019, end his oppressive measures in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and lift the media Blackout in the region.”

DAR declared that “Pakistan will continue to expand diplomatic, political and moral support to the Kashmiri people until their inalienable right to self-determination is realized.”

He emphasized that “Kashmir is an internationally recognized dispute and its future cannot be determined through internal legislation or court decisions.”

Deputy Prime Minister also expressed concern about media reports suggesting that Indian authorities are trying to “give state to Jammu while retaining the Kashmir Valley as a trade union area” that calls such movements “unacceptable and provocative.”

Dar, who repeated Pakistan’s attitude, said “Pakistan believes in peaceful coexistence, but its commitment to peace should not be confused with weakness.” He added: “Islamabad wants friendly relations with all neighboring countries and prefers dialogue and diplomacy rather than confrontation.”

However, he warned that “Pakistan’s armed forces and its people are fully capable of delivering a resolute reaction to any aggression as shown during Marka-E-Haq and Operation Bunyanum-Maroos.”

Minister of Information and Issuement Attaullah Tarar, who was also pressed by the rally, said “Kashmir is our Jugular Venes, and we stand firm with our Kashmiri brothers and sisters.”

He expressed confidence that “the day is not far when Kashmiris gets their inalienable right to self -determination to decide their fate.”

Tarar repeated Pakistan’s obligation to “continue to raise the voice of kashmiris on all worlds forums.”

Minister of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltist Engineer Amir Muqam said: “August 5 is the blackest day in Kashmir’s history when India had recalled Kashmir’s special status of illegally changing the state demographics.”

He added “Kashmiris has never accepted illegal Indian occupation at Kashmir.”

In addition, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the righteous solution of Jammu and Kashmir -Tvisten was a key pill in Pakistan’s foreign policy and called on the international community to play a role in stopping Indian human rights crimes in IIOJK.

In his message on the occasion of the YouM-E-Stehsaal, the Prime Minister urged the global community to push India to turn his unilateral and illegal acts from August 5, 2019; Repeal draconic laws and implement the UN Security Council’s decisions at Kashmir.

Coas Field Marshal Asim Munir together with CJCSC, naval manager, head of the aerial staff and Pakistan -armed forces have confirmed their unwavering solidarity with the resilient and courageous IIOJK.

The armed forces in Pakistan fully support the legitimate and ongoing struggle for the Kashmiri people for their inalienable right to self-determination, which is laid down in international law and the UN Security Council’s decisions, the statement says.

YouM-E-Isstehsaal is observed to express support for Kashmiri people’s right to freedom and protest India’s illegal and unilateral acts of August 5, 2019. It was on this day in 2019 when India is one-sided and illegally stripped Jammu and Kashmir of its special status.
