DPM to travel to China Monday after the conflict in Pakistan India

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will embark on a three-day official visit to China from Monday, the Foreign Office announced on Sunday.

The visit comes on invitation from Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and is part of ongoing high -level exchange between the two nations.

During his journey, Ishaq Dar will have “in -depth discussions” with Wang Yi about the evolving regional situation in South Asia and its consequences for peace and stability, according to the Foreign Office’s statement.

The two sides will also review the full spectrum of bilateral connections in Pakistan-China and exchange views on regional and global development of mutual interest.

“The visit emphasizes the joint commitment from Pakistan and China to further elaborate on their strategic partnership throughout the weather,” the statement states.

Negotiations are expected to focus on regional security, financial cooperation and promote China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

According to sources, Ishaq Dar will hold consultations with older Chinese officials on the current conflict -like situation between Pakistan and India. High -level officials are expected to accompany the Deputy Prime Minister during the visit.

“China has expressed full support to Pakistan in the light of Indian aggression,” said a diplomatic source, adding that discussions will focus on regional stability and diplomatic coordination.

The visit, which coincides with the presence of Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi in China, is expected to include conversations about wider regional security, including developments in Afghanistan.
