Dream has added a new gadget to his hair care lineup — the dazzling multi-style and i am excited. I’ve gone through most of the best Airwrap alternatives on the market, and it looks like the most serious rival to Dyson’s super-style, as well as offering perhaps the best value for money for any dupe.
It doesn’t do all that Airwrap ID can (I get into the differences below) but there are features I haven’t seen in any other dupe and it’s a lot Cheaper – Half of the price of MSRP and even less than the right now thanks to an early discount: It is currently $ 249.99 (was $ 299.99) at Dream. (It is currently only available in the United States, but Dream has a great presence in the UK, and I hope it will also be launched here at a similar negotiation price – I have reached the brand for confirmation.)
What features, exactly? First, Dream has added attachment recognition. So when you click, for example, a curly barrel, it automatically switches to the recommended temperature and speed settings for this attachment. It is still a very rare feature, even among the very best hairstyles on the market.
Secondly, the maximum heating setting has come up. My biggest complaint with the Dream Airstyle Pro was that it wasn’t getting hot enough to dry my hair or put in styles (I’m all to protect my hair from heat damage but you need some Heat to a hairstyler to actually be useful). Dazzle has a cold setting and heat settings of 134.6F / 57C and 194F / 90C. It is the same maximum temperature as Airwrap ID, while Airstyle Pro peaked at 176f / 80c.
You also get a digital screen that shows you with a moment which settings you are using. I’m not so excited about that bit, but I guess it can be helpful.
I’ve compared flowering with Airwrap, but in fact it might look more like the flex style of the shark. Like the gadget, the top section turns to 90 degrees to dry instead of using an extra drying fortress to redirect the airflow. I have tested models that use both approaches and both can be just as effective.
It also has a similar metallic color scheme as flex style. I’m a bit sad Dream haven’t chosen the unique leather-look finish it used on the Airstyle Pro here, although the higher maximum temperature means I would still choose dazzling over that gadget.
How is the glare compared to an airwrap?
Dazzle looks incredible for the price but it is not quite As good as the latest air packs. There are currently two main models to choose from: Airwrap ID (which was launched in August 2024) and Dyson Airwrap Co-spirit 2x (which became sale in the US in July 2025, but is not yet available in the UK).
Both of these models have a curl.id -switch that launches an automated curl sequence – wrapping, curls, cool shoots – with timings based on your specific hair type. They join a companion app so you can give information about your hair and can adjust settings and see as the sequence counts down.
CO-AAND 2X also has attachment recognition, and it is one step up on Dreame’s offer, as it will switch to your latter-lined settings with each tool, rather than return to a standard.
Both of these upgrades are useful. I found the curl.ID feature an important game election on Airwrap ID is just as effortless and as a result I found that my curls lasted longer because I didn’t have to manually change settings or guess how long I had done every bit. I haven’t tested Co-Aanda 2x yet, but I’ve used Dyson’s attachment recognition at the Supersonic Nural, where I found it helped to smooth the styling process.
Whether they are worth the (significant) extra cost is another thing. If you are in the mood to spray some cash, I don’t think you would be disappointed with Airwrap, but if you’re looking for bang for your buck, the dazzl looks hard to beat.
