Police have arrested the dumping driver responsible for a deadly accident in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Johar area earlier this week.
The deadly accident that occurred on February 5th involved a high-speed dumps colliding with three motorcycles and two cars near the Gulistan-e-Johar trip, resulting in the death of three individuals, including a woman, according to Express News.
After the crash, the Dumpper driver fled the scene, but police quickly launched an investigation and arrested the defendant.
According to police, three people died at the scene of the accident. The driver identified as Mawaz Khan fled after the incident.
However, Shahrah-E-Faisal police, who used modern technology, are traced with the driver and arrested him. A case has been registered at Shahrah-E-Faisal police station and further investigations are underway.
Police have stated that accidents due to reckless driving of heavy vehicles are increasing in Karachi and strict measures are being taken to control such incidents
Previously, a dumping hit a motorcycle at Malir Stop, resulting in the deaths of a father and son while the mother was injured. The driver responsible for the incident fled from the stage, as reported by Express News.
According to police, the man, wife and their son were critically wounded and rushed to Jinnah Hospital.
Tragically, the father and the son died, identified as 38-year-old Saleem and 13-year-old AFAQ, of their injuries before reaching the hospital. The mother, 30-year-old Rubina, was recorded in critical condition.
