For users of Dropbox passwords, it’s time to look at the best password managers and find a new service to be used after the cloud storage company revealed that it will soon discontinue the service.
The end of the Service for Dropbox Passwords will be October 28, 2025, giving users ample time to find a new identification manager that fits their needs.
In the message, Dropbox said it was interrupting the tool, “as part of our efforts to focus on improving other features of our core product.”

Dropbox password users will still have plenty of time to access their saved usernames, passwords and saved credit card information for export until October 28, but there will be some important changes before then.
On August 28, 2025, the password administrator will only be displayed on both mobile devices and through the browser extension. You cannot add more credentials or use the AutoFill feature from this date.
On September 11, the mobile app is written off and will no longer be available for use. Your data remains available through the browser extension.
The fateful date of October 28 will see all Dropbox -Access Code data that is probably deleted and the dark web surveillance function ceases to work.
In his blog post, Dropbox has provided some key information on how to export your data from both the app and browser extension. Mobile app users can follow these instructions to export their data:
- Open Dropbox -GAID CODING MOBILE APP.
- Press (Settings).
- Tap export.
- Press Export to confirm.
To export data from the browser extension, do the following:
- Open Dropbox Passwords Browser Extension.
- Click on your avatar (profile picture or initials) in the lower left corner.
- Click on preferences.
- Click the Account tab.
- Click Export.
- Click Export to confirm.
