Duchess Sophie has just pulled on heart strings with her most sincere footage about the new shoes she has found herself in.
The now puppet of Edinburgh explained it all in her interview with The mirror.
This interview happened during her three-day trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina on behalf of King Charles.
In the middle of the 30th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica, Royal talked about her transition from being a Countess of Wessex to the Duchess.
“First of all, it was pretty big shoes to fill,” she started by saying.
She also explained that the reason for this is “because not so many of the population will remember today, but the queen was the Duchess of Edinburgh for the first few years when she and her father -in -law first married.”
Therefore, for Duchess Sophie “It was quite a emotional thing to kind of step into her shoes, it felt like a very big moment.”
She also approached her love for anonymity and said “To be practical my role and my husband’s role is to support the king as it was to support the queen and we are lucky because we are able to not be ahead and center role, so it gives us the flexibility to explore our own interests and then also be available to do things like this, where the king asked if I would represent him.”
All in all, “I like to fly under the radar,” she also admitted near the end. But “It’s all very good to be a secret weapon, but if nobody knows, it might be too secret.”
