In yet another accident of a dumping car in the tatta district, two men and a child who was riding a motorcycle were killed on Sunday on the Thatta-Sujawal Road. The deceased, Irshad Shah, Karo Aijaz Shah and Shahnaz, daughter of Ameer Shah, were residents of Bulri Shah Kareem Taluka from Tando Muhammad Khan District. The truck ran across the motorcycle and completely destroyed the two -wheeler.
This was the second identical incident in about a week when a dumping truck had run over three young men on the same path and killed them all. Muhammad Bux Khoso, a local resident who led a protest after the accident, told police and the media that the dumping driver escaped with his vehicle after hit the motorcycle.
However, he added that local men on several motorcycles chased the truck, stopped it and caught his driver, identified himself as Maila Marwat Khan, later handed over to police. Police raised the truck and took the suspect in custody, but the FIR’s FIR could not be registered in the evening. The bodies were moved to the Government Hospital Makli for PostMortem. Protesters accused the police of having allowed trucks and their unruly drivers to roam through the city while putting citizens’ lives in danger.
