A quick dumping crashed into nearly 20 vehicles near Lyari Expressway Toll Plaza on Monday morning, in what commuters described as an important traffic violation and security failure.
The concrete dumps allegedly lost the control due to brake failure and collided with vehicles waiting in line at the bombing booth.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported. However, several cars sustained major damage and spread panic among commuters on site.
Authorities have not yet released an official statement.
Earlier today, the driver of a continuous dumping who avoided Karachi traffic police and threatened public security at Sharea Faisal, surrendered and has been arrested, police confirmed.
The incident, caught in a wide circulated video, showed a dumping hitting a political vehicle and fled from the stage.
The recordings triggered outrage online and got a city -wide crash on dumpers and heavy transport vehicles.
According to police, the arrested driver claimed he was being chased by motorcyclists and feared his vehicle would be burned – a response to the recent mob rape that was triggered by traffic accidents involving heavy vehicles.
Previously, a high -speed dumps collided with several motorcyclists near North Karachi Power House, resulting in three people being injured.
After the incident, furious protesters launched serious protests against the dumper and set fire to five dumpers, a water tanker and a truck in different places, Express News reported.
According to rescue sources, the wounded persons were immediately transferred to the hospital.
Last month, a tragic incident near Malir Stop Flyover found Model Colony when a quick water bowser collided with a motorcycle and claimed the life of Abdul Qayum and his wife, Zainab, who expected their first child after Eidul Fitr.
The driver of the truck ran across the motorcycle, pulled it under his vehicle and killed Qayum immediately. Zainab, severely wounded and lying in a pool of blood, gave birth to their child in the last moments of her life, but the baby also died later. Witnesses described the scene as terrible.
