Dawyne Johnson broke his silence after her new film The Smashing Machine became his worst opening film ever.
The wrestler-facing actor went to his Instagram account on Monday and poured his heart out of how close the film is close to his heart and he “can’t control the ticket office results.”
The WWE star noticed that the Benny Safdie-Instruated film has “changed” his life.
“From deep inside my grateful bones, thanks to everyone who has seen ‘The Smashing Machine’,” he began.
The actor, who is also known by his ring name The Rock, continued to say, “In our storytelling world you can’t control the ticket offices – but what I realized that you can control is your performance and your commitment to disappear completely and go somewhere else. And I will always run for that opportunity.”
Dwayne, who had undergone a motivational transformation for the role of ex-MMA fighter Mark Kerr in his biopic, hit only $ 6 million at the cash office that marked the lowest opening for a movie in rock’s career.
He also noted, “It was my honor to transform in this role for my instructor Benny Safdie @bowedtie. Thanks brother for believing in me.”
“The truth is that this film has changed my life,” he confessed, adding “with deep gratitude, respect and radical empathy.”
Smashing machine plays in theaters.
