Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, WWE-Wrestler-Omed Actor, has surpassed former US Vice President Kamala Harris as the leading democratic competitor to the presidential race in 2028 on the decentralized betting platform Polymarket.
From now on, shares are trading by betting “Yes” about Johnson’s victory for 7 cents, which entails a 7% chance of multimillionaire actor won the nomination. This places him fourth in the race behind Gavin Newsom, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Pete Buttigieg.
Meanwhile, traders in a 5% probability that Harris won the bid and placed her in 5th place next to Andy Børear. Dealers also see 1% chance for Tim Waltz, Michelle Obama and Mark Cuban Emerging Victorious.
The polymarket is a decentralized prediction market platform that allows users to speculate on the result of real world events, such as choices and asset price movements, by trading shares representing different results.
The betting platform announced on Tuesday that it has secured an investment from the Venture Capital Firm 1789 Capital and Donald Trump JR, the son of the US president, as a member of its advisory board.
