- Dyson has launched Dyson Car+Boat Handheld Vacuum
- It has many of the same features as Dyson’s Vacuum in full size
- Available in the US now for $ 199.99 and in the UK from 4th February to £ 249.99
I’ve been waiting for Dyson to release a handheld vacuum and my patience has finally paid off: Today, the brand Dyson Car+boat revealed and it seems to surpass the rest of the best handheld vacuum currently on the market.
The car+the boat looks like someone who took a dyson stick vacuum and shrunk it in the sink. You can’t really tell from press photos, but this thing is dinky. However, the build-size build packages a stamp-this handheld model has a lot in common with the best Dyson-wire-free vacuum from the wider range, including powerful suction, useful detail tools, advanced filtration and a long battery life. Unfortunately, the equality is also expanded for the price – its list price is $ 199.99 / £ 249.99, which is cheaper than the cheapest Dyson Stick Vacuum, but much more expensive than your average car wacuum.
Before I get too far into it, I will be aware that this despite being called the car+boat, this is not a wet -dry vacuum. It’s just a regular handheld vacuum aimed at people who might own a boat. Dyson is nothing if not aware of its target market. Other things it are designed to tackle, include dirt, waste, allergens, pet hair, padding and litter.
Let’s start with the life of the battery, which is the bit that I am probably most excited about. Most wireless handheld vacuum offers you a maximum of 30 minutes of cleaning, but sometimes it’s more like 15 minutes. Here you have a full 50 minutes, which is up with the best full-size wireless wires in the market-and actually longer than you get with the Dyson V8.
It accounts for the fact that cleaning cars, furniture and, oh, boats, is fiddly. It takes time to do it properly and there is nothing more annoying than running out of juice after you have wedged into a foot well. With almost an hour of cleaning, you have time to get into any hook and krina.
Dyson also promises top notch suction. The proof will be in the test (a full review is in the works), but the specifications look promising – the engine’s spins at 110,000 rpm. Minute, the same as on the V8, which is the oldest Dyson Stick vacuum in the current set -up. There is a fully sealed filtration system that can catch 99.99% of the particles as small as 0.3 microns (the same as anything but the most recent and most expensive Dyson -Stick vacuum). It includes dust mites, pet water and other allergens.
Dyson Vacuum attached files are similar to those you also get with a full size Stick VAC. There is a mini-motorized tool for pulling stubborn dirt and sticky hair, a 2-in-1 combination tool (in the image above) that combines a dust brush and wide nozzle and a slit tool for edges and narrow holes.
Although this is the only dedicated handheld in the current Dyson lineup, it is not the first handheld from the brand. Most recently, there were Dyson Humdinger, which has just been interrupted in the United States, leaving the British lineup back in 2022. Of course, any of Dyson’s wireless stick vacuum can be used in handheld mode by removing the floor and adding a detailed tool, but it The main vacuum unit tends to be too voluminous and heavy to be an ideal choice as a car vacuum.
Dyson Car+Boat is available in the US from today (January 29) at Dyson.com and will be sold at third -party dealers the first week of February. It has a list price of $ 199.99. In the UK it will be sold at dyson.co.uk from February 4 with a list price of £ 249.99.
