  • Dyson has released a consumer version of its supersonic r Professional
  • It is the smallest, lightest, most powerful hair dryer
  • Accessible Now in us for $ 569.99Due to the 2nd March of Britain to £ 449.99

Formerly a professional hair dryer, Dyson Supersonic R is now added to the Core Haircare series and made available to us more (non-hair) mortals for the first time. This is Dyson’s smallest, lightest and most powerful dryer-it is 20% smaller and 30% lighter than the original supersonic one if you have deep pockets and want to create salon-worthy styles from the comfort of your own home, this is your chance.

The Supersonic R only went back in February 2024 and initially turned heads because it looked more like a tube than any hair dryer we had ever seen. After everyone had stopped getting jokes about its appearance, the dryer began to win people with his performance. The strange design is far more comfortable and easier to exercise than a traditional dryer and also allows for more accurate styling.

The only thing that prevented it from worrying our best hair dryer list was the fact that it was only professional. Until now. Dyson Supersonic R, who is about to go on sale, is identical to the original pro version, with the exception of a shorter cable (home length, rather than salon length).

The more streamlined and maneuverable shape and lower weight are made possible by some redesigned mechanics. Under the cap you will find a more streamlined air heater than the one found in the regular Supersonic, and a Dyson Hyperdymium engine also (possibly the same / version of the one that drives the best dyson vacuum of the day).

R will originally be available in ceramic pink, and a Jasper Plum version is also in the works. These are two of the new color paths that are filtered in Dyson’s hair care lineup, and in my option a major upgrade on its previous tropical tones.

R also comes with some exciting looks new magnetic attachments to play with. What is this powerful tool? How the heck works smoothly? All things I look forward to discovering when I get my hands on one. I am glad to see that there is a compatible version of the fan favorite fly attachment.

All attachments have RFID sensors, which means that the dryer knows which one is attached and will remember your latter temperature and air flow settings with each.

Mysterious new compatible attachments include (LR) Powistanair, smooth nozzle and gentledry (Image Credit: Dyson)

When and where can I get my hands on it?
