Eagles’ AJ Brown remembers feeling like a ‘paid actor’ on previous Super Bowl, a loss for the bosses

NFL star AJ Brown came headlines when cameras recently caught him by going time during a Philadelphia Eagles game reading a book, “Inner Excellence,” by self-help writer Jim Murphy.

Brown’s sideline routine contributed to an increase in book sales, with “Inner Excellence”, which quickly jumped into the top place on Amazon’s trend list the day after Eagles’ Wild-Card victory over Green Bay Packers.

The book ranked 523,497 before the sudden increase in attention made by Brown.

Brown and Eagles will now turn the page and focus on preventing a Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl three-peat. Eagles hope to avoid a repeat of the Super Bowl in 2023.

Brown said if he had his way, Eagles would arrive in New Orleans on Friday, hold a review Saturday and play the game on Sunday. His Super Bowl experience was like something of a movie where he played the role of a football player. He has tried to steel his feelings in the middle of this year’s Super Bowl hype.

“It’s about us, but it’s not about us,” he said. “We have so much we have to do for everyone else. The media, the fans. There is only so little time that we focus on what is important and that is the game.”
