Like many sports fans these days AJ Dillon is locked into WNBA, but not exactly because of Caitlin Clark.
In fact, it is one of her teammates – Sophie Cunningham – who has the new Philadelphia Eagles that runs back glued to the television.
In a recent interview with Pakinomist Digital, Dillon said he was “like all fans who became fans a week ago” when Cunningham came to the defense of Clark, who was buried earlier in the game, by making a flags of her own, resulting in a big crush on the field and spraying.

Dillon said he was discussing the matter on his podcast with his brother -in -law and said after busy he would buy Cunningham’s jersey. Reports emerged that Cunningham’s jersey was out of stock and although these were never confirmed, Dillon announced his purchase on social media.
Dillon said she got a newly won respect for Cunningham, whom he called his “new favorite player” to protect his team’s best player.
“Caitlin Clarks is obviously the best player on that team, arguably the best player in Wnba, if not the best. You have your star player, they draw a little, but think about it as a quarterback. It’s our quarterback, we have to make sure she’s protected. If someone pushes Jalen Hurts, everyone will be in there. Dillon told Pakinomist Digital.

Dillon added that he is planning to debut in the jersey on July 4 on a boat.
“I’m a fan, I like that approach to the game, and just being a tough player for the team and not letting anyone push your teammates around, I like it.”
The whole trial took place when Connecticut Sun Guard Jacy Sheldon stabbed Clark in his eye last week. She was also pushed to the floor by Marina Mabrey. Cunningham wrapped Sheldon under the basket of a fierce error in the fourth quarter and the two were pushed out.

“In the course of it, it was just part of the game. I think the judges had a lot to do with it. It was a structure for a few years now of those who just didn’t protect the star player in Wnba,” Cunningham told journalists Days after the team lost against the Golden State Valkyries. “At the end of the day I will protect my teammates. That’s what I do.”
