AJ Dillon will make a good impression when he takes the field with the reigning Super Bowl masters on September 4th.

Runing Back spent his first five years in the NFL with Green Bay Packers and shared touches with Aaron Jones for most of his tenure. Dillon missed the 2024 season with a neck injury, but Philadelphia Eagles signed him in free agency – and it’s obvious to see why he joined the birds.

“Coming out of a Super Bowl, Best Offensive Line in Football, Saquon [Barkley]’SA guy, I’ve known for a long time, so it worked really perfectly,’ Dillon told Pakinomist Digital in a recent interview. ‘I love my role there, getting to know my teammates, Philly is a fantastic city, they got amazing fans, Mads Store, Football’s big, and it’s a fantastic city. It’s great to be out there and I look forward to the season. “

Earlier this month, in an attempt to shoot up his mind, before heading to training camp, Dillon joined several other NFL stars, including Justin Herbert, Kyler Murray and the possible winner Justin Reid in Chess.com Blitzchamps Tournament.

Reid also won the tournament last year.

Dillon’s results were not what he hoped for, saying, “There are some chess sharks in the league,” but he added chess games is an ideal mental warming for football.

“I think the mental piece in football is such a big thing. I think that when you talk about what separates people because obvious, everyone’s talented at university level and on the NFL, everyone is big and strong, but it is the mental piece,” Dillon continued. “How quickly can you collect information? How can you think back in the scout report, etc.?

“You can only do so much football, so still try to challenge your mind, but also get your mind out of football. Chess is a great way, and trying to stimulate the mind in different ways, chess does it in a way where you really think strategically and there are a lot of relationships between Chess and football, I think.”

Dillon was also able to raise money for his charity, which he started last year.

“Being able not only to play chess and having fun, but also being able to have extra money to donate to a big case that everyone else will be able to do for what they represent, this is a huge blessing in itself,” he added.

The competitive character in Dillon will also not let him call it after a subpar -tournament appearance.

“Next time I’ll be much better. It made me definitely hungry. I’m a competitor,” Dillon said. “It’s ok, my first time. I know what the competition is, so I have to step it up. I got the Chess.com app downloaded on the phone, so when I got some downtime I will definitely play some exhibition matches and similar things. Definitely watching Shake Up the Borde next year.”
