Hurts had 221 passers-by yards, two passers-by touchdowns and a rushing touchdown in Philadelphia’s 40-22 Rut of Kansas City Chiefs. For that he was appointed MVP for the game.

The tradition of the Super Bowl MVPs going to Disney World started in 1987 after New York Giants defeated Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl XXI. Phil Simms, MVP for this game, was filmed in Disney’s “What’s the next?” Commercial.

He is asked, “Phil Simms, you just won the Super Bowl. What are you doing next?”

“I’m going to Disney World,” he replied.

Hurts’ Commercial contained his throw to Jahan Dotson in the first quarter, which was almost a touchdown. Then it showed the team’s tush push to get him into the final zone for the first score of the game. It also contained his bullseye pass for Devonta Smith for a touchdown.

“I’m going to Disney World!” Hurts said when asked what to do next.

Hurts muted the critics with his performance on Sunday. Philadelphia came to the Super Bowl two years ago and lost to Chiefs in a game that hurt, played well. Last season, Philly started 10-1, but fought down the stretch and was jumped from the playoffs early.

Eagle’s head coach Nick Sirianni said the hardship hurt by 2023 helped build speed for his moment in 2024.

“Hardship tends to bring you together,” he said. “I look back on last year and how last year ended and I am grateful. As crazy as it sounds, I am grateful for how last year ended because it shaped us to who we are today and where we stand today. “

Hurts admitted that the journey is important when it comes to keeping the trophies up at the end of the season, and teams and players will eventually be judged by the results on the field.
