“Every week will be different because it’s such a long season and there are so many injuries,” Dejean explained, while also discussing his partnership with Caseys, his favorite convenience he grew up to. “The wrongdoing may be down a few guys for a week, so the defense will have to step up.

“Defense is perhaps down [some players]So the offense will have to step up. How different it can be from week to week and having to play with new guys on defense. I think that’s what I’ve learned. “

Dejean’s journey began with a draft of the second round of Eagles, but his start in training camp was not the best when he was injured early. When it was healthy, Dejean mainly played special teams until week 6 rolled around.

He got his first start and showed the league what he was about, and voted with six combined tackles and a quarterback hit, while also delivering a few meters in the Punt Return game.

Dejean quickly cemented himself as any head coach Nick Sirianni and defense coordinator Vic Fangio could rely on with colleague Rookie Cornerback Quinyon Mitchell. Dejean was locked in opposite Mitchell throughout the Eagles’ super-bowl-winning season and the game in New Orleans against Kansas City Chiefs so Dejean have a big influence.

His first career capture was a 38-yard Pick-Six off Patrick Mahomes.

“I think the journey that was crazy. It ended up in a super bowl -win and the game I had was even skirtans. So it’s been a vocalist for the past year, but I’m excited about what this year will bring.”

He may be only in his second year, but Dejean’s rays of confidence when he looks forward to 2025. He will be a leader in his cornerbacks room with Mitchell, and given Jalen Hurts, AJ Brown and other veterans, this closet leadership, he knows he has the persona to be the same for his group.

“Me and Q had that experience last year in there, and it’s huge for us,” he said. “A trust amplifier for us to be leaders in our room and take the next step. It’s been a funny growing and learning process to try to take the next step in being a leader.”

Official pizza of noon

While Dejean is focused on Eagles football next week as they start against Dallas Cowboys to begin the 2025 NFL season, he is also excited to see his Iowa Hawkeyes.

And this year for College Gamedays Dejean couldn’t think of a better jump start for the day and then go over to Caseys to grab his favorite breakfast pizza. For 25 years, breakfast pizza has been the ultimate cult favorite at Casey’s, which Dejean spoiled a lot with growing up in Iowa.

“Caseys are all over the midwest,” he said. “It’s something I started my day off with when I was in high school and got a slice of breakfast pizza before the school day to keep you energetic and ready to go. It’s MVP for back packages this season, especially when you have these dinner kickoffs.”
