Eagles’ Saquon Barkley weighs in on tush push

The Philadelphia Eagles star Saquon Barkley had a message to critics, as team owners will decide whether to ban Tush Push, as the team has made famous for the past few seasons.

For Barkley it was simple. If teams and players don’t like it, work harder to stop it.

“If you don’t like it, you need to get better at stopping it,” the Super Bowl Master told ESPN. “It’s not like a theater piece that we only do. Everyone is trying it, we’re just super successful with it.”

Green Bay Packers submitted the proposal to ban the play, usually used to run quarterback jealous sore over the yard to wine or the target line for a touchdown. Owners made the discussion of banning the play until their next meeting, which takes place on 20-21. May.

Packers had 16 teams supporting its proposal, but at least 24 owners must approve the change in order for it to pass.

President Donald Trump expressed support for Tush -push when Eagles came to the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl Lix win against Kansas City Chiefs.

“Eagles scored a touchdown on their signature games: tush -push. You know what it is? I hope they keep that game train, I don’t know,” Trump said, looking at Eagle’s head coach Nick Sirianni. “They talk about getting rid of the spectacle I understand it. They have to keep it. What do you think saquon [Barkley]?

“I like it. It’s kind of exciting and different.”

The rule change would prohibit an offensive player from having the ability to push his teammate immediately behind the snapper and receives snap.
