Philadelphia Eagles got away with their first win in the 2025 season Thursday night, but an offensive star was surprisingly quiet everywhere.

Veteran-Bred receives AJ Brown, the team’s top-spa-catching option, was almost non-existent in the 24-20 victory for Philadelphia. He did not get his first goal until less than two minutes left in the game-an eight-yard reception.

The NBC broadcast brought its lack of goal several times, but quarterback Jalen Hurts used his legs and found other recipients, including the tight end Dallas Goedert, to move the ball down the field.

Brown is a three-time pro bowl recipient who has had at least 1,000 meters in each of his first seasons with Philadelphia, raising the question: How did he feel about not being a factor at all to start the year?

“You know it’s not something I can control,” he said pr. Penn Live. “What I can control is my efforts for when the ball comes my way.”

Journalists tried to push Brown on the subject, which he simply repeated, “It’s something I can’t control.”

Cowboys noticed that Brown would not have the opportunity to have game-breaking acts as defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus made sure his side of the field had extra cover.

On the other hand, Goedert was the player who worked one-on-one when he finished the game with seven catches in 44 yards. Hurts also found Jahan Dotson, the team’s third recipient behind Brown and Devonta Smith, also for a 52-yard bomb Downfield.

It is only the first game of the season and we have certainly seen the connection that hurts, and Brown has had over the years since Tennessee Titans traded him to Philadelphia.

Hurts did what was needed to get the Eagles downfield and into the final zone, as they did three times in the first half. He scored the team’s first two touchdowns on the ground, while Saquon Barkley, who had four catches in the game, also rushed in for a score.

Maybe this is simply a blip to start the year for Brown, but until evil starts to target him more, it will be something to see that goes on.
