A vote to decide if TUSH -push will be banned from the NFL, has been pushed until May.
At the annual league meetings on Tuesday, the NFL team owners agreed to make the vote on a proposal to ban the play that became Philadelphia Eagles’ call card in the last few seasons.
The postponement means that debates about the play will rage as the team and the league collect more information. Turh -push -advocates have presented arguments about why the play should continue to be part of the game, while those who are against it have made a case to get rid of it.

While Tusspush, also in general, referred to as “Brotherly Shove”, is certainly at the moment, Eagles offensive Lineman Lane Johnson sent a clear message to critics.

The six-time pro bowler suggested that any team that questioned the play was jealous. “Hate us because they’re not us!” Johnson wrote on x Tuesday.
While other teams have adopted similar versions of tush -push in the past few seasons, no one has successfully run it like Eagles. Philadelphia’s offensive line as well as quarterback Jalen hurts the lower body seems to create the perfect formula for the card-yardage game.

Eagles used a few emojis on x as they appeared to chime in the middle of the latest tush push requirements.
Spotlight was placed on Tush Push during the NFC Championship game as the Washington Commanders players intentionally jumped offsids to try to stop the game.

While the NFL has said it has not collected enough data to conclude that Turh -push is an inherent dangerous game, some coach and others still around the league.
Eagles owner Jeffery Lurie dealt with these concerns at the annual meetings.
“I think for everyone, including myself in particular – health and safety are the most important thing when evaluating any game,” Lurie said. “We have been very open to the data found on Tusspush, which just has not been any data that shows that it is not a very, very safe game. If it wasn’t, we wouldn’t push to tush -push.”
