Vic Fangio was the San Francisco 49ers’ defensive coordinator as the team played Baltimore Ravens on Superdome in the Super Bowl XLVII.
The amber peaked the 49s to the team’s second Super Bowl title, but the game was destroyed by a blackout due to a partial power outage that hit the stadium. The Super Bowl was paused for 34 minutes. The 49s went on a 17-0 race to get back into the game. In the end, the ravens held their opponents for the 34-31 victory.

Fangio is now the defensive coordinator of Philadelphia Eagles and is more than a decade later back on Superdome to lead the defense against a high octane Kansas City Chiefs team. He noticed about the Blackout Bowl during the Super Bowl Lixs opening night on Monday.
“I thought it was a terrorist attack,” he said.
