Earthquake spaces felt in capital and other parts of the country on Tuesday

Earthquake room was felt in Islamabad, Rawal Pindi and Parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) early Tuesday morning after a 5.2 earthquake hit the region, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said in a statement.

Shaking was also experienced in Peshawar, Swat and Abbottabad, PMD confirmed.

According to PMD’s alarm, the earthquake occurred at. 22.20 pst at a size of 5.2 on the Richter scale. The epicenter was located in the Hindu Kush Mountain Ranges of Afghanistan at a depth of 190 kilometers.

The provincial disaster administration of Punjab confirmed that there were no losses or damage reported anywhere in the province.

” District administrations across Punjab inspect buildings as a precautionary measure, ‘said PDMA DG Irfan Ali Kathia, adding that the provincial control room and all district emergency operations are on duty 24/7.

The previous incident of this kind took place in May as a 5.5-force shaking shake North Pakistan, shake Islamabad, Rawal Pindi and several districts over Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Seismologists point out that the Hindu Kush region is prone to earthquake with deep focus, typically 150 to 250 kilometers below ground surface.
