Economic resuscitation tied to political stability: Abbasi

Quetta:

Awaam Pakistan Party (app) President Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that Pakistan cannot move forward unless the ongoing political instability ends, adding that genuine political leadership and stronger democratic processes are needed.

In a speech with the media during his visit to Quetta on Thursday, Abbasi expressed serious concerns about the deteriorating law and order situation in Balochistan.

“For the past 10 to 15 years, Balochistan has faced continuous crises. Today, its highways are unsafe, its economy is suffering, and its youth lose hope,” he noted. “We must reflect on why such conditions continue in Balochistan.”

He criticized Islamabad for not tackling the basic complaints of the population of Balochistan and called on the federal government to take effective and revolutionary measures to alleviate the many years of concerns from the province’s population.

“The country’s questions will not be resolved until political turmoil ends and the rule of law has been established. We must run the country and divide its resources within the framework of the Constitution,” he said.
